Sanctified

We are 7 young people who love music. We call ourselves Sanctified.

The name was decided in 2003 after we had been singing for a while

but were officially asked to sing at an event. The meaning of the word

is “set aside as holy, or being made holy” which we felt applied to us

as Christian kids. Three of us girls started singing together in high school. Most of us are related, so after a few years of trio singing, we expanded,

a few friends and siblings joined in, and we had a full band.

The last few years our band has sung at various places ranging from senior’s homes, to local music nights, to family camps, to music festivals. Most of these have been close to home, which is nice for us young people with busy lives. However, this year, 2009 we have made a recording and are excited about getting it out there, and through that taking our ministry to new levels.

Sanctified consists of four vocalists, Don Driedger, Julie Wiebe, Susie Redekop, and Joanne Driedger who also plays piano. Our bass player is Kathy Krahn, guitar player Brad Driedger, and drummer Jonathan Wiebe.

We were all raised in Christian homes and went to church all our lives. However, we’ve also all made that personal decision and commitment

to Jesus Christ and are enthusiastic to become more like Him through

what we do. Our goal is to glorify God with our gifts, have a good time,

and hopefully make a difference in someone’s life while doing that.
